This week on Superior Sequels I thought we’d go a bit festive since Christmas is just around the corner (I wish I’d saved Home Alone for this week now).
The two movies at the centre of today’s debate are:
Daddy’s Home (2015) and Daddy’s Home 2 (2017).
As much as I enjoyed the first of these movies, for me this is an obvious one, I think the sequel is better and funnier. Not only does it introduce John Lithgow and Mel Gibson as the two main character’s dads, it’s set at Christmas! So...
Obviously I don’t want to influence anyone’s opinion but what do you think?
Is the movie that reunited Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg after The Other Guys (2010) the "daddy", or was it surpassed by it’s festive sequel?
