Sometimes you’ve got to know when enough is enough and someone needs to tell this to Michael Bay and everyone at Paramount.
Don’t get me wrong, I liked the first Transformers movie. I even liked the second Transformers movie despite it getting a lot of stick! Then the third one came out!
How is it that CGI can get worse as time goes on?! Shouldn’t it get better?
When the 4th instalment was released starring a new cast (notably Mark Wahlberg), I thought, “ok, this could be good”. Guess what, it wasn’t!
It’s one of the few films I’ve watched at the cinema where I kept checking my watch thinking “this must be almost finished!”
I caught the 5th one on TV some time ago and was glad I didn’t pay to see it at the cinema.
When not even Anthony Hopkins or Kelsey Grammer can make a film good you know it’s a lost cause.
I refuse to even watch Bumblebee now on the principle that I’ve given this franchise too much of my time and money with too little reward.
I’ve heard it’s good but I guess I’ll never know.
