I was watching Anna and the King (1999) at the weekend and for some reason I googled it.
I came across this old Guardian article from that year (21 years ago!) talking about films that were (at the time) in the works.
From news that Jodie Foster wouldn’t be returning as Agent Starling in Hannibal (2001) and might possibly be replaced by Gillian Anderson (The X-Files), and Ben Affleck dismissing rumours that he’d be playing Batman in the next film (17 years before he actually would) - to talk of who would be directing the first Harry Potter movie (apparently there was lots of interest but Steven Spielberg had first dibs), this article was like opening up a time capsule! It was really interesting reading it, knowing how everything panned out.
