So I learned today that Sebastian Stan who’s best known for his role as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in the Captain America and Avengers movies, has been cast to play a young Luke Skywalker in the upcoming seasons of The Mandalorian on Disney+.
My first reaction was that no one other than Mark Hamill should play the beloved character. However, they’ve already ruined Star Wars for me by casting a younger actor (who I wasn’t overly keen on) to play Han Solo in an origin story I don’t feel we needed (you’ve already had a go at me about that one 😆), so I’m fairly open minded to this.
Also, The Mandalorian is pretty good and with Jon Favreau at the helm it could definitely work.
