Currently watching: Fright Night (2011).
The original 1985 version is one of my favourite movies of all time and when I heard it was being remade I was furious!
As it happens, this version is different enough to be good on its own merits without it stepping on the legacy of the original. If you haven’t seen either though you should definitely watch the original first.
Tragically, Anton Yelchin who plays the lead role in this version (and who also played Chekhov in the latest three Star Trek films) was killed in a freak accident in 2016 when his car rolled down his driveway and pinned him against the pillar of his security fence. He was only 27. 😢
