There are sooo many!
From “Stuck in the Middle with You” by Stealers Wheel in Reservoir Dogs (not to mention a tonne of other great songs used in Tarantino’s movies) to “I’ve Had the Time of my Life” by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes in Dirty Dancing, there have been countless great songs used in iconic scenes in movies over the years.
One of my favourites is “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac used in the scene where Starlord fights back towards the end of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 (2017).
I think a great score or the right song used at the right time can be just as important as the story and the performances themselves.
