This week’s Now & Then actor is the brilliant Morgan Freeman.
From playing a chauffeur in Driving Miss Daisy (1989) to God himself in Bruce Almighty (2003), Morgan Freeman has played a wide range of characters.
His films have reportedly grossed over $10 billion worldwide and as a result of his talent we have treasures like Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) and The Shawshank Redemption (1994).
Originally turning down a partial drama scholarship to enlist in the United States Airforce, Freeman eventually moved to Los Angeles, California where he took acting lessons.
He’s gone on to become one of the most successful and popular actors of the last thirty years.
In his personal life he earned a private pilot’s licence at age 65, and after becoming concerned about the decline of honeybees, turned his 124 acre ranch into a sanctuary for them. 🐝🐝
