Money Train (1995)

I watched a good film last night that I hadn’t seen for ages!

Money Train (1995)

Not only is it a really good and highly entertaining movie, but it’s pretty Christmassy in a Lethal Weapon/Die Hard kind of way (although neither of those are Christmas films). 😳

If you haven’t seen it it stars Wesley Snipes (Blade), Woody Harrelson (Zombieland) and a young Jennifer Lopez (The Cell).

This is what it’s about:

A New York City transit cop with a mountain of dept (Harrelson) attempts to rob the money train (a subway train hauling the subway’s daily revenue). His more responsible and frequently exasperated foster brother (Snipes) has to decide whether to prevent the crime or join in on the heist.

This movie has a lot of nostalgic value for me. I had it on vhs back in the day and watched it a lot as a teenager when I had zero worries and responsibilities (sigh)...😔

It’s a good story, it’s funny at times and the chemistry between Snipes and Harrelson is great! If you’ve seen White Men Can’t Jump (1992) you’ll know what I mean.

Robert Blake is also brilliant as the aggressive transit captain who you love to hate.

This is definitely worth a watch if you like your 90s action movies with a bit of Christmas thrown in. 👍

Seen it? What do you think? 🤔
