Can we just take a moment to celebrate the majesty of this picture of Michelle Pfeiffer on the set of Scarface (1983).
Surprisingly Al Pacino and director Brian De Palma weren’t keen on the lovely Michelle being cast as Elvira Hancock in the movie, and a number of other actresses were considered first.
In the running was Glenn Close (who apparently was the original choice for the role), Geena Davis (The Fly), Kelly McGillis (Top Gun), Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct), Sigourney Weaver (Alien) and even Princess Leia herself, Carrie Fisher (Star Wars).
Michelle Pfeiffer was just 25 years old and relatively unknown at the time.
