I don’t know if there are any gamers among you but one of the best games I’ve ever played is Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (1999).
It’s one of a series of games about a vampire named Raziel, who’s cast into a watery abyss by his brethren for evolving faster than his master, Kain. He’s then revived centuries later as a soul devouring wraith, and sets out to get some payback.
The story that spans a whole series of games is so good that I’ve often wondered why they didn’t make it into a film franchise. Maybe it’s for the best since games made into films have a tendency to be disappointing - still it could be awesome if they ever did it and did it right!
