I was obsessed with Batman: The Animated Series growing up. I even had (and still have) an alarm clock that projects the Bat-Signal onto the ceiling along with an alarm that says “Wake up! Gotham City is in trouble. Call for Batman!”
I’ve always ranked Mark Hamill as one of the (if not the) best incarnations of the Joker but I literally had no idea Tim Curry was involved at one point!
Their voices are actually very similar. I can only imagine Mark Hamill listened to what Tim Curry had done and modelled his performance on it, just with a little more finesse.
However it went down I find this really interesting!
