The Twelve Films of Christmas (Day 4): The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)

It’s day four of my Twelve Films of Christmas and in 9th place is a film that I’m sure is on a lot of people’s list.

The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)

There must have been hundreds of film and TV adaptations of the Charles Dickens classic, “A Christmas Carol” over the years, but for me this is one of the best! I can’t imagine he ever envisaged his story being told by singing muppets though...

Although some films have a Christmas theme or “Christmas” in the title, not all of them manage to capture that “Christmas feel”. This one however does it effortlessly!

Like Santa Claus: The Movie (1985) this movie has a bucket load of nostalgia helping towards my enjoyment of it but that’s not taking anything away from the film itself.

It’s funny, the songs are great, it stars Michael Caine in the lead role and it just has that special Christmas magic!

I love it!!

What would be in 9th place on your list?
