My initial gut reaction to this news was “WHAT THE F#CK?!!!!" 😡 However, I’ve had time to digest the terrible news and now it‘s more like, “WHAT THE F#CKING F#CK?!!!" 🤬
Some people will say, “It’s good because it‘ll bring the story to a new generation who wouldn’t necessarily watch an “old movie”. Well, I have a couple of things to say to that:
1) If the youth of today are so ignorant that they can’t appreciate an older (more superior) movie, then as far as I’m concerned all hope is lost on the future film “loving” public.
And,
2) Rarely (and I emphasise the word rarely) is a remake ever as good or even anywhere near as good as the original (with the exception of the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead).
Once again this has cash-in written all over it.
