I watched episode 2 of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier last night and I hadn’t realised that John Walker AKA the “new Captain America” from the end of episode one is Wyatt Russell (Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn’s son).
I’ve seen him in a few things before, like Goon: Last of the Enforcers (2017), Table 19 (2017) and 22 Jump Street (2014) but didn’t realise it was him under the mask.
He’s half brother to Kate Hudson (Almost Famous) and Oliver Hudson (The Christmas Chronicles) who are Goldie Hawn’s kids from her previous marriage to musician and actor Bill Hudson.
You’ve probably seen countless memes featuring Wyatt Russell in the Captain America suit over the last couple of weeks, I know I have. Fun fact: He auditioned for the part of Captain America way back when the MCU was just getting started. Obviously we all know that the role went to Chris Evans, but it’s ironic that Russell is now playing a version of the character all these years later.
