Superior Sequels: Star Wars - Original Trilogy

On Superior Sequels this week we’re looking at one of the most beloved trilogies of all time!

Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977), Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)

Star Wars is one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) movie franchises of all time. It was a huge part of my childhood as I’m sure it was many of yours. One of my biggest regrets in life is selling all of my figures and spaceships at a car boot sale years ago! 😭

Although new Star Wars movies and tv spinoffs continue to be released, none of them have quite captured the same magic that the original trilogy has.

Each of the films has its own hardcore following but which is the best?

Is the original movie that started it all unbeatable or was it merely the foundation for two superior sequels? 🤔
