Remembering the Undelivered Promise of an Epic New Star Wars Trilogy - The Force Awakens Trailer

I was pottering around at home this afternoon listening to a playlist I made called “Soundtrack Chillout” (basically a collection of my favourite movie scores).

The music that’s on this trailer to Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) came on and I remembered how excited I felt watching it for the first time all those years ago with such massive expectations. I then felt kind of sad looking back with the knowledge of what a huge and messy disappointment the trilogy turned out to be. Such a waste!

Still, regardless of what happened between this trailer and that last film you can’t deny that as far as trailers and theme music go, this is a great effort. I still get chills at 1 minute, 20 seconds!

Take a couple of minutes to remember and enjoy the (sadly undelivered) promise of an epic new trilogy. 😢
