Kevin Conroy, “The Voice of Batman” Has Died Aged 66

Kevin Conroy death

Nooooooo!!!! Kevin Conroy has died!

Although he appeared on screen in some of his early roles, Conroy eventually went on to become one of the best and busiest voice actors in the business, voicing Bruce Wayne and Batman in the beloved 90s animated show; Batman: The Animated Series.

He did such an amazing job in fact that he’s regarded by many as “The voice of Batman”.

He not only voiced the Caped Crusader in The Animated Series but also in the 1993 movie, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, the “Arkham” video game series and countless other DC based animated shows.

Conroy’s death was confirmed by Diane Pershing who has voiced the DC character Poison Ivy. She shared this on Facebook today:

“Very sad news: our beloved voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy, died yesterday. He’s been ill for a while but he really put in a lot of time at the cons, to the joy of all of his fans. He will be sorely missed not just by the cast of the series but by his legion of fans all over the world.”

He was 66.

RIP Batman. 😞🦇
