Have You Ever Noticed That the Town Square in Back to the Future and Gremlins Look Similar..?

Have you ever watched Gremlins or Back to the Future and thought that the town square in both films looked familiar? If the answer is yes you might just be onto something…🤔

That’s because the town of Kingston Falls and Hill Valley are one in the same place.

Located on the backlot of Universal Studios, California, the set known as Courthouse Square has featured in a number of films and TV shows over the years such as: To Kill a Mockingbird (1962), The Monster Squad (1987), Jingle All The Way (1996), The Nutty Professor (1996), Batman & Robin (1997), Bruce Almighty (2003), Knight Rider (1982-1986) Ghost Whisperer (2005-2010) and even Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2011).

The set has seen its share of hard times over the years having being severely damaged by fires on several occasions. The first being in 1957, the second in 1990 and most recently in 2008.

Fortunately the iconic square has been repaired/rebuilt after each fire and is still standing today should you wish to visit it.
