The Screen Room
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)

Well, I watched the third film in the Harry Potter series last night. š§āāļø
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)
I really enjoyed this one!
Maybe itās because the main characters are that much older and the tone has shifted but it didnāt feel like 2 hours 20 minutes had gone by when the credits roled.
The acting was a lot better too and hey, Gary Oldmanās in it...enough said!
My one and only criticism is that I preferred Richard Harris as Dumbledore. Iāve always been surprised that they cast Michael Gambon to replace him after his death since his version of the character is so different. Donāt get me wrong Michael Gambon is a great actor, he just doesnāt have the same screen presence.
That said, he was still good, I just preferred Richard Harris (RIP). š„
Considering this is one of the three Harry Potter films Iād already seen, I canāt say a lot of it was that familiar. Itās kind of handy though because it felt like I was watching it for the first time.
Iām in uncharted territory now. Iāve literally not seen anything of the next five films so Iāve got a lot to look forward to!
Iām not sure Iāll get any more in this week but when I watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire youāll be the first to know about it. š
P.S. How much do you want to punch Malfoy!! šš”
