Currently watching: Avengers: Infinity War (2018).
This is not only one of the best Marvel films to date but also one of the best movies I’ve seen in the last 10 years!
As good as Avengers: Endgame (2019) is, it’s actually a bit dull until the final act, and if it weren’t for the epic battle scene at the end it would’ve been pretty disappointing.
This film however is a balls out, action thrill ride from the start that doesn’t let up until the shocking finale.
It’s really impressive that the film makers were able to make such a brilliant movie that incorporated so many major characters from the MCU, that at the same time gave them all their own fair amount of screen time.
I’m watching this though thinking how sad it is that Chadwick Boseman is no longer with us. I’m sure Marvel will recover and give us another decent Black Panther movie but Boseman was brilliant as Black Panther and so full of life! It’s tragic to think that he was fighting and losing his own personal battle while all of this was going on.
For me, the best scene in this film is where Captain America turns up while Vision and Scarlett Witch are getting their asses kicked in Edinburgh early on. The score by Alan Silvestri is brilliant and really enhances the whole experience. 🙌
